About Stageloft
13 Years and Still Growing
Yes, its been 13 years since Stageloft first opened its
doors, or should I say, "barn door." Those
first five years in the loft were an adventure. Seating
was even more intimate than it is now, the air conditioning
was non-existent, we shared the space with a friendly bat,
and the backstage area was spacious, if you included the
outdoors.
Six years ago we moved to our present location. The satisfaction
of providing handicap seating, unobstructed views, and theater-style
seating, as well as central air conditioning, pleases us
and we hope, pleases you, our audience.
Theater Tech Internships
We are looking for people interested in technical theater
experience. Learn the ins and outs of theater from behind the
scenes. The main focus is on lighting, sound, set construction and
how the "techie" approaches and creates live theater. Internships
can be taken for credit towards school (with permission from
school) or for experience. If interested contact: Ed Cornely,
Artistic Director.
Costumes Needed!
Stageloft is always looking for that special man's suit (large
sizes preferably), woman's dress, or accessories to compliment our
wardrobe. If you are considering discarding such items, please
consider donating them to us! It might be fun to see a piece of
your clothing on stage!
Volunteers
Volunteers are the lifeblood of any good theater and we
always need and welcome anyone who wants to lend a helping
hand before and during performances. If you or someone you
know would like to help, we need the services of prompters,
stage managers, costumers, prop managers, ushers, carpenters
photographers and others. Please call Ed or Ellen at (508)
347-9005.
