A Brief HistoryStageloftLogoFINAL-01WEB

Stageloft Repertory Theater was founded by Ed and Ellen Cornely the summer of 1994. During it's early years, SRT performed in the barn behind the Sturbridge Country Inn.  In December of 1998 the Cornelys moved Stageloft's operations to our current location at 450A Main Street.

In January of 2015, Christine and Scott Taylor assumed ownership of Stageloft.  Since then, the interior of Stageloft Repertory Theater has been given a facelift, and the offerings each season have expanded.  Stageloft now produces 9 main stage productions and 3 youth productions each year, along with youth workshops in the summer.  Collaborations with other local theater companies allow Stageloft to bring new talent and more entertainment to our stage and our audiences.

Being a small theater company, Stageloft relies on volunteers to keep everything running.  We're always looking for people who want to assist with set building, set painting and finishing, and costuming.  Additionally, we sometimes find ourselves in need of stage managers and light/sound techies.  We have a lot of good people already, but with the volume of performances each year we can always use more.  If you're interested in getting involved at Stageloft please send us an email at stageloftrep@gmail.com.

We are always looking to expand our costume and prop stores!  If you're looking to give away clothing or small items of furniture, please contact us.  We're especially grateful to receive:

  • vintage items of men's and women's clothing, hats, purses and accessories - or anything that is reproduction vintage
  • costume jewelry
  • youth halloween costumes - animals, fairy tale characters, superheroes - sized youth medium and larger
  • small tables or chairs, floor lamps, coat trees, paintings

We are unable to use modern or casual clothing like tee shirts, sweatpants, tracksuits, jeans, baseball caps, hosiery, or undergarments.

If you've got something you'd like to donate, please call 508-347-9005 or email stageloftrep@gmail.com, your unwanted items could be used onstage very soon!
